Interconnected cracks resembling alligator skin, caused by repeated load stress. Sealing stops water infiltration while the base is still sound.

Edge Cracks
Cracks running along the perimeter of the pavement where support is weakest. Common on driveways and parking lots without proper edge restraint.
Perimeter Protection
Transverse & Longitudinal Cracks
Cracks running across or along the pavement, often caused by temperature cycling and sub-base movement. Hot-pour sealant bridges the gap flexibly.

Reflection Cracks

Five meticulous steps β from inspection to final walkthrough β using specialized equipment and premium hot-pour materials.
Step 1
Free On-Site Inspection
We walk your entire pavement surface and assess every crack β measuring width, depth, and length to determine which cracks need hot-pour sealing versus patching. You receive a detailed written estimate at no charge. We identify cracks larger than 1/8 inch that require sealing.
Step 2
Crack Cleaning & Preparation
Every crack is thoroughly cleaned using industrial-grade wire brushes and high-pressure compressed air to remove all dirt, debris, and vegetation. This step is non-negotiable β sealant applied to a dirty crack will fail within one season. Proper prep is everything.
Step 3
Hot-Pour Sealant Application
We apply hot-applied, rubberized asphalt-based crack sealant using a professional melter-applicator. The hot sealant flows deep into the crack, bonds to the walls, and forms a watertight, flexible seal that moves with the pavement through temperature changes β unlike brittle cold-pour products.
Step 4
Finishing & Texture
Depending on crack location and size, we use recessed (flush) or overband finishing techniques. Overband creates a wider seal band for high-traffic areas; recessed keeps the repair nearly invisible for residential driveways. This ensures optimal protection and a clean, professional appearance.
Step 5
Cure & Re-Open
Hot-pour sealant cures quickly β typically 20β30 minutes before foot traffic and about 1 hour before vehicle traffic. We walk the completed area with you before we leave to confirm every crack is properly sealed. Your pavement is protected and ready to use the same day.
